(Note: If you are currently 14 years old and your birthday is before January 1, 2020 please register for the Ages 15-18 Leadership Group)
Important Leadership Updates:
All Looking Ahead members interested in joining Leadership Council are REQUIRED to fill out a digital application and RSVP via the website to attend. This allows Looking Ahead staff to better prepare lesson materials and have exact count so that the proper amount of food is ordered for everyone.
-Showing up without registering online is not allowed.
-Please be sure to RSVP under the correct event post for your age group.
-Please arrive on time as late arrivals tend to disrupt the class lesson.
First Leadership Council meeting of the 2019-2020 Year!
For All Looking Ahead members, Ages 12-14
WHEN: Wednesday, September 18, 2019 @ 5:45pm-8:00pm
Leadership Orientation will begin at 6:00pm
WHERE: SAG-AFTRA building 5757 Wilshire Blvd. Los Angeles, CA 90036
MEET AT: Cagney Room (1st Floor, behind security desk) for an introduction with staff
After the introduction, each age group will split up into their individual rooms
PICK UP AT: The Actors Fund (4th floor, suite 400)
COST: Free! Dinner is included.

PARKING: SAG-AFTRA has generously offered to validate parking for Leadership Council meetings*. Feel free to park in the lot behind our building located at 5757 Wilshire Blvd, Los Angeles 90036 (entrance at Curson & Wilshire). Please bring your ticket to the Cagney Room (1st Floor) between 6:00-8:00pm for validation. *We will not be able to cover any parking costs so please make sure to validate within the provided time window!**

What is Leadership Council?
Leadership Council is open to all Looking Ahead members and parents! It's a monthly meet-up where nearly 100 Looking Ahead members come to make new friends, learn leadership and life skills, build self-confidence, and participate in fun and engaging discussions and activities. Looking Ahead parents meet simultaneously to listen to industry guest speakers and learn helpful tips and resources to help you navigate and balance your life within the entertainment industry.
Each meeting focuses on a different topic. We discuss topics related to self-esteem, teamwork, managing stress, cultural identity, building friendships, and so much more. Each age group and parents meet separately (Ages 9-11, 12-14, 15-18). Meetings take place monthly from September-May. Leadership Council is FREE and dinner is provided at every meeting! Young Performer Pick-up Policy
The safety and well-being of our young performers is our highest priority. As such, please note that parents must be present and identified directly by a Looking Ahead Staff member or volunteer before they will be permitted to leave at the conclusion of each Leadership Meeting (8:00pm).
Parents, we strongly encourage and invite you all to hang around after the meetings to chat and get to know the other families in our program but we ask that you please pick up your young performers from their respective meeting locations first before doing so. Additionally, this year the majority of our meeting spaces are being donated by SAG-AFTRA and we want to be courteous of their time and security costs and clear out of the rooms as soon as possible.
