Our success at Looking Ahead depends on the generosity and commitment of our wonderful volunteers. Check us out and see how you can get involved!

Why Volunteer?

Young performers face many challenges as they try to balance home and family life with work and auditioning, school and friends. Looking Ahead provides the special support system that gives them time away from the stresses of the industry to meet friends in the same situation, plan for their future, give back to their community and grow as people.

We need people who understand and appreciate these unique life circumstances. We need people who care about young performers and their families and are willing to make a commitment of time to help us build a safe, supportive and fun community in which young performers can thrive.

What Volunteer Opportunities are Available?

  • Chaperoning events and activities with the kids
  • Event Planning
  • Speaking at Panels
  • Leading Groups
  • Providing Clerical/Administrative Support

What is the Time Commitment?

Volunteers who help with event planning or clerical work can discuss their hours of availability with the Looking Ahead Supervisor,  those hours are flexible during the typical work week.

Volunteers who help with panel presentations are only required to be present during the planning and production of the event itself, but there is opportunity to help plan these events year-round.

Volunteers who work directly with young performers must make a commitment of a minimum of six months of involvement, post training, and at least two events during that period.
